How WooMoa works

From your first visit to your next topic stamp — here is how the learning loop fits together.

  1. Pick your languages

On the home screen, select the language you speak and the language you want to learn. WooMoa loads locales and topics configured for that pair.

  2. Open the topic map

Topics appear as a path. Locked topics show how many prior steps you need; unlocked topics are ready to play. Each topic has a name and description in your target language.

  3. Play question sessions

Inside a topic, WooMoa serves adaptive questions — difficulty adjusts based on your recent performance. Question types include typing the answer, choosing words, and swiping letters in order.

  4. Manage hearts and coins

Wrong answers can cost a heart; correct answers can earn coins. You can buy hearts or hints with coins when the economy rules allow. Hearts regenerate over time.

  5. Save progress (optional)

Guest play works instantly. To keep topics, coins, and hearts across browsers, link Google or register a passkey from the sign-in menu.

Question types

WooMoa uses three core interaction patterns: free typing (with optional letter tiles), multiple choice built from vocabulary words, and a circular swipe path for spelling. Every answer is checked server-side so scores and economy stay fair.

Topic steps and stamps

Each topic is divided into steps. You advance by answering correctly within a step; completing all steps can earn a stamp on your map. The summary on the topic card shows how far you have come so you always know what to practice next.
